Stepping Into the Coaching Arena: My Next Chapter Begins with Clarity
Yes, that’s me behind the bouquet. Cheeky? Maybe. But here’s the thing: just like this photo, stepping into something new often means showing up as yourself — a little vulnerable, a little playful, and fully human.
Honestly, I never thought I’d call myself a Clarity & Purpose Coach.
A few years ago, I was deep in another chapter of my life—as a breast cancer recovery coach. That work mattered to me more than words can say. But eventually, something shifted. I felt a quiet nudge that said: it’s time to pause.
So, I did. I stepped back, took a sabbatical, and focused on my own healing journey.
And here’s the thing about healing: it’s never just physical. It’s mental, emotional, spiritual—it’s about rebuilding who you are when life has cracked you open.
Healing isn’t just physical. It’s mental emotional, and spiritual —it’s about rebuilding who you are when life has cracked you open.
That pause changed me. It gave me perspective. It gave me clarity. And now, it’s brought me here, to this moment, writing my first words as a Clarity & Purpose Coach.
But this blog? It’s not just about me—it’s about you. Because if you’ve landed here, you might be in your own fog, looking for clarity and wondering how to move forward with purpose.
Who I Am and Why I’m Here
Here’s the quick version: I’ve spent decades navigating careers, challenges, reinventions, and yes—a major health journey. Along the way, I’ve been the one people come to when they’re stuck at a crossroads, unsure of what’s next.
As a breast cancer recovery coach, I walked alongside people who were redefining their lives after something that shook them to the core. And later, when I stepped back to heal myself, I realized I was still doing the same thing—for me.
That’s when it clicked: the common thread in all of it was clarity and purpose.
Without clarity, you spin. Without purpose, you stall. But when you have both? You move forward with confidence. You take down walls you didn’t even know you’d built.
And that’s the work I’m stepping into now. Not to tell you what your life should look like—but to help you find the clarity to see it and the purpose to live it.
Why Clarity and Purpose Matter (for You)
Let’s talk about you for a minute.
Maybe you’ve been feeling stuck. Second-guessing yourself. Overthinking decisions until you’re exhausted. Maybe you feel like you’re waiting for some big lightning bolt of clarity that never seems to strike.
Here’s what I’ve learned: clarity usually doesn’t come as a lightning bolt. It comes as a breadcrumb. One small next step that shows you where to place your foot. And when you take it, the next one appears.
Clarity is like a single breadcrumb—a small yet significant step that gently guides your next move forward.
Purpose is what makes those steps meaningful. It’s the reason you’re walking at all. Without it, you’re just going through motions. With it, even the hard days feel like part of a bigger story.
That’s why clarity and purpose together are so powerful. They’re what move you from fortress walls—the doubt, fear, confusion—to freedom: a life where you know who you are, what you want, and where you’re going.
My Philosophy: Fortress to Freedom™
The name of my framework says it all: Fortress to Freedom™. But more than a framework, it’s the lens I look through in my work, my writing, and my life.
We all build fortresses. Sometimes out of fear, sometimes out of habit, sometimes because life hands us bricks we never asked for. Those walls might look like overthinking, people-pleasing, staying small, or chasing paths that don’t light you up.
Here’s the thing: those walls are figureoutable. (Marie Forleo popularized that phrase in her book Everything Is Figureoutable—a saying she credits to her mom. And she’s right—everything is figureoutable.) Or, as my own mom always reminded me: everything has a way of working out.
That simple wisdom has carried me more than once. It’s why I believe clarity and purpose always create a doorway, even when you feel like you’re staring at a wall.
Clarity sheds light on the wall.
Purpose gives you the courage to climb over it.
Clarity sheds light on the wall. Purpose gives you the courage to climb over it.
And the Universal Laws are the compass. For example:
The Law of Polarity reminds us that every wall has an opposite: a doorway.
The Law of Vibration shows us that when we shift our energy, we also shift our reality.
The Law of Cause & Effect grounds us in the fact that every small action creates momentum.
Through this lens, the fortress isn’t something to bulldoze or erase—it’s something to notice. Freedom is the awareness that the walls don’t get to hold you.
It’s not just philosophy—it’s practical. And it’s the approach I’ll be bringing here, in this space.
What You Can Expect from Me
If you stick around, here’s what you’ll find in this blog and in my coaching work:
Simple tools for clarity. Not fluffy theory—practical ways to clear your fog and see your next step.
Purpose-driven perspective. Questions that pull you back to what matters most.
A mix of humor + heart. Because growth doesn’t have to be dry or heavy. Sometimes the most freeing thing is a little laugh.
Universal Laws in everyday language. No jargon, no overwhelm—just clear ways to align with principles that already shape your life.
My goal isn’t to hand you a script for your life. My goal is to help you uncover the clarity and purpose already inside you—so you can write your own story with confidence.
Closing: A Beginning
So here we are. My first step as a Clarity & Purpose Coach. Your first step, maybe, in this conversation about clarity, freedom, and living with more intention.
Your clarity compass is already in your hand.
This blog is where I’ll share ideas, tools, and stories to help you clear the fog and find your flow. Each post is a stepping stone in the shift from fortress to freedom — a journey of noticing the walls, loosening their grip, and choosing clarity instead.
Next up? I’ll be talking about why we build fortresses—those invisible walls of doubt, obligation, and old beliefs—and how to start recognizing them in your own life.
But for now, I just want to say: welcome. I’m glad you’re here.
Because this isn’t just my announcement—it’s an invitation. An invitation for you to start your own shift from fortress to freedom, from fog to clarity, from drifting to purpose.
And if you need one more reason to believe it’s possible, I’ll leave you with the words my mom always told me: “everything has a way of working out.”
Here’s to beginnings—yours and mine.
